Here are several resources for your consideration:
- American Arab, Middle Eastern, and North African Psychological Association (AMENA-Psy) features a “Find a therapist” tool for psychologists with expertise supporting people who identify as American Arab, Middle Eastern, and North African (AMENA).
- Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance - Arab American Communities and Mental Health provides information about treatment concerns, trauma, and quick facts on the intersection of the Arab American Community and mental health. There are also resources to find support groups (online and in person), learn about depression and bipolar disorder, find a therapist, and access wellness tools.
- Give An Hour: 5 Signs of Emotional Suffering in Arabic shows Five Signs of Emotional Suffering translated into Arabic.
- Inclusive Therapists provides a directory or directly matches people with therapists or coaches who will offer care specifically for your unique identity. The goal is to ensure people with marginalized identities get equitable access to radically affirming, culturally responsive mental health care. Inclusive Therapists centers the needs of Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) and 2SLGBTQIA+ intersections (QTBIPOC) including people who identify as Arab American.
- Mental Health Coalition - How to Support & Advocate for Middle Eastern and North African (MENA) Mental Health offers tips and resources for folks from the Middle Eastern and North African (MENA) community to care for their mental health.
